EUROPEAN TOUR POSTPONED….

January 3, 2011

Dear European fans and friends, we are extremely disappointed to report we have
to postpone our upcoming European tour dates. The chaos of the inclement
weather this winter has made purchasing and changing flights nearly impossible
both financially and in keeping with our routing. Our European agent
has suggested that we postpone the tour until May so we can do festivals as well
as our tour when this nasty winter is through and that’s exactly what we will
do! We are and have always been a working class band and we have never had to do
this. We are hopeful you all understand, we have no other choice. We are still
getting details, but we are being told refunds will be given at point of
purchase. Again, we are terribly sorry and we will see you all in May.

The Street Dogs, it is somewhat of an understatement to say, are from Boston. Mike McColgan’s name was already indelibly linked with the city, as he had already made his name as the frontman for the Dropkick Murphys, the standard-bearers of Boston punk during the late 1990s

Melodka Production, Friday Night Kids a Voltage Shop Vám přináší další parádičku!

Zakládající člen kapely Dropkick Murphys, Mike Colgan a kapela STREET DOGS se v rámci evropského turné k nové desce "STREET DOGS" po roce vrací do České Republiky.

Spolu s nimi celé turné pojede kapela The Mahones.

Koncert proběhne 25.1.2011 v brněnském klubu Melodka.

Street Dogs

Po odchodu z Dropkick Murphys v roce 1998 se chtěl Mike věnovat kariéře hasiče, ale osud tomu chtěl jinak a v roce 2002 v Bostonu ve státu Massachusetts zakládá kapelu Street Dogs. Děhem 8 let stihli vydat 5 alb (Savin Hill (2003), Back to the World (2005), Fading American Dream (2006), State of Grace (2008),Street Dogs (2010)). Po boku kapel jako Flogging Molly, Rancid, The Adolescents či The Bouncing Souls procestovali snad celý svět a dokonce se v roce 2008 zůčastnili VANS WAPED TOUR, kde hráli na hlavní stage.

Hudba Street Dogs osciluje mezi irským pojetím punku a punk/rockem se silným vlivem výše zmíněných kapel. V textech je cítit sociální kritika, vyzdvihování rodiny a v neposlední řadě Mikovy vzpomíky na válku v Zálivu. Předposlední deska (State of Grace) se dočkala velmi kladného ohlasu v magazínech po celém světě, od Rolling Stonu po Penthaus!

The Mahones

Kapela byla založena rodilým dubliňanem Fintanem "Finny" McConnelem a Barrym Williamsem v Kingstonu v Ontariu.

Kapela měla zahrát jen na den sv. Patrika v roce 1990, ale...

Za svojikariéru stihli vydat nespočet alb, compilací a singlů či procestovat Spojené Státy a Evropu po boku Dropkick Murphys nebo Pogues.

Hudebně je kapela právem přiřazována k folk/punku se silným vlivem The Clash, The Pogues, The Who nebo The Waterboy.

The Frogs - Influenced by GG Allen

The Frogs are an American rock music band founded in 1980, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, by brothers Jimmy and Dennis Flemion. The brothers mainly write and perform short, catchy pop songs, but they are also known for their improvised home recordings which are delivered in a comedic style, and often tackle controversial issues such as race, religion, and sexuality (notably homoeroticism). A history of strife has hindered the band, although a devoted fan base that includes many well-known musicians has supported the group.
